How Artificial Intelligence took over 2018 & wait, there’s more to witness in 2019

It will not be wrong to say that 2018 was the year of Artificial Intelligence. With so many speculations going around its implementations & the number of jobs, it will take away, the introduction of Artificial Intelligence was smooth & gradual in 2018.

Be it Data Analysis, Display of personalized content, Ads or even automation of Processes, AI has played a vital role. This doesn’t end here, as per the AI market revenue report, AI market revenue is estimated to be $7.35 billion in the U.S. with expectations to reach about $17 billion by 2020 and $89.8 billion by 2025.   With Artificial Intelligence in place, the data is bound to get scrutinized & interpreted better. So, if we evolve our marketing strategies as per the data, we are surely getting better conversions & results.

Let’s quickly look back & see where & How Artificial Intelligence has made over lives easier & interesting:

Chatbots – Isn’t it interesting how quickly they have taken over our traditional chat windows? Chatbots are surely the need of the hour as they promise faster & effective customer service. In fact, companies like Uber have already replaced Customer Service Execs to Chatbots, which helps them communicate with customers in real-time, making it easy for them to hire cars even via Facebook Messenger or Google Maps. Not only this, customers can track rides, share estimated time of arrival, see recommendations of alternate routes & so much more via AI. So, goodbye to long waits & queues of getting connected to the Chat executive, Bring on the Chatbots, please!!

Voice search – From Google Home, Microsoft Cortana and Amazon Alexa, data shows a rise in Voice search in 2018. By the year 2020, it is estimated that 30% of all web browsing will be done without touching a screen, with an estimated 50% of searches made solely through voice commands. This will surely be revolutionary as it will allow us enough time to multitask & do so many things at the same point in time. In fact, I recently bought Alexa for my home & while I was busy over some client’s mail, I heard one of my offspring asking for a spelling of a word with Alexa. It took me a minute to come to terms with 2 things. 1st, who needs a Dictionary when you have an Alexa because every information is practically waiting at the end of the questions. 2nd, How innovative the kids are these days?

AI Toys: Talking about kids & Artificial Intelligence, How can we forget about those little Robots available in every leading toy store? Yes, this brings my point to Miko, the robot. In fact, the company is marketing it as a Child Companion Robot who will offer support & companionship to kids. Miko is a Voice-based robot that talks, responds and learns about your child to guide their interactions.

With so much going around us, 2019 looks bright & sunny from the AI
 aspect.
